Cosmik Horizon review part 5
Greetings to all in the vast universe of Cosmic Horizon. We have already deeply dived into our space strategy, found out what types of planets exist, how to develop them, what is the main resource in the game, and went to the General Store. Here we lingered, because the store has a lot of everything you need for the game.
So let’s continue.
You will need Cloaking Devices, believe me. With these devices, you can leave your ship anywhere in the galaxy because it will be invisible. But you can’t relax. You can be found by other players using scanners. On an invisible ship, you will not be able to join the battle. Everything is fair.
You need to travel the universe, this event is interesting, but dangerous. It would be nice to use intelligence. That’s what Exploratory Probes are for. Send them to different sectors and they will send you reports. Great stuff but there is a downside. Probes have no defenses and simply self-destruct if threatened.
Planetary Scanner is also needed for reconnaissance. With it, you can explore some aspects of the planets without landing. For example, you can find out about the military readiness of the planet.
You can put Disruptor Torpedoes on some ships. They will definitely come in handy for you. Shoot them at neighboring sectors and boldly go into them. With these torpedoes you will disable cloaking devices, cannons, and mines. As always, but fly in the ointment. You can only turn it off for a while.
Sector Scanner — everything is clear from the name, but not everything is so simple. You must be an experienced player to correctly read the information that the scanner transmits. The thing is inexpensive, so you have to try.If funds allow, it is better to buy Advanced Sector Scanner. He’s expensive, but he’s worth it. You don’t have to puzzle over his information.
In the previous review, I already mentioned the Jump Drive when I described the buoys. These devices work in pairs. With Jump Drive you can jump across different sectors. But only from buoy to buoy. You already installed them there, right? Thanks to jumps, you can quickly move around the galaxy. It’s fine! But… Guessed already? Yes, a double-edged sword. If you make a mistake in the settings of your Jump Drive, you will destroy your ship.
Finally, we looked at all the items in the General Store. Choose what you like and play. In Cosmic Horizon you can conquer the galaxy, create planets, develop civilizations, trade, make technological breakthroughs in science, make friends and fight.
